Will the "Live Update" overwrite my site files? I hope not, that'd be very bad for me.
No, don't worry; the "Live Update" will not effect any files/data on your site. It won't interact with your site in any way whatsoever, it's up to you to upload your new files to your site(s) at your own leisure. In this respect it's not really a "Live Update" in the same way that, say, an anti-virus live update would be. The "Live Update" reflects the fact that it gives you a fully up to date list of all the software that you've got, and shows you all the latest links/info related to upgrades that are available and relevant other news etc. It also reflects the fact that when you buy new software or upgrades, you get the download links and licenses for it immediately with no interaction needed from us. |
