I bought/downloaded software before 23-Sep-2007, what do I do?
Most importantly, don't panic; your existing license keys and software will continue to work as-is with no problems. However, if you purchased software from us (or downloaded any free software) before 23rd September 2007 (the date of the BYK release), then you should "backfill" your pre-23-Sep-2007 license entitlements onto the new system. For historic reasons we can't physically do this backfill ourselves, so we have no choice but to ask our past customers to do this themselves if they want continued support, upgrades, or new software. We hope that once you see how the new system works, you'll appreciate just how useful it is and that it's well worth spending a couple of minutes performing this backfill. The backfill in question that we're asking customers to do requires no technical expertise at all and is extremely simple; we've done everything we can to make "the system" do all the nasty work for you so that your steps are kept to the absolute minimum. For most people it's as simple as uploading a handful of new off-the-shelf/as-is byz files to your site, logging into vpasp admin, and then pressing a button. Once you've done that you'll automatically have all your addons listed, along with links for all the relevant upgrades for each addon where appropriate.
